CHAISE Holds Final Workshop, Paving the Way for the Launch of the European Blockchain Skills Cooperation Network
[Brussels, 14 October] – In a key milestone for European digital skills development, the CHAISE Consortium recently held its final workshop, marking the end of four years of collaboration aimed at creating the foundation for the future of distributed ledger technology (DLT) skills in Europe.
As the consortium approaches the conclusion of its mandate at the end of October, the groundwork has been laid for the formation of the European Blockchain Skills Cooperation Network (EBSCN)—a network that will continue the mission of ensuring Europe remains at the forefront of DLT education and innovation.
DLT is expected to be the key enabler for other transformative technologies of the future, including artificial intelligence (AI), digital twinning, edge computing, and the Internet of Things (IoT), all of which will drive major advancements across industries globally. The EBSCN will play a critical role in preparing Europe’s workforce for this future.
The workshop brought together key stakeholders, including educational institutions, industry leaders, and government representatives, for a final discussion on DLT education, skills needs, and the future of the network. As the CHAISE project transitions into the EBSCN, organizations have the opportunity to join the CHAISE Alliance and become part of the upcoming EBSCN.
Why Join the CHAISE Alliance Now?
Organizations that join as Associated Partners in the CHAISE Alliance will play a vital role in ensuring the EBSCN remains positioned at the forefront of DLT innovations. While the foundation for the network’s launch is already in place, these partners will be critical in keeping Europe at the cutting edge of these developments and ensuring access to this knowledge is available to all.
The CHAISE Consortium and its Associated Partners already include key European universities and education providers, as well as industry stakeholders from across Europe. Being part of this network is an unparalleled opportunity to collaborate with some of the most respected institutions in the field. No other network offers such a comprehensive, cross-sector collaboration focused on developing DLT skills at this scale. By joining the CHAISE Alliance, organizations will be part of a truly one-of-a-kind initiative that is shaping the future of DLT skills and innovations.
Here’s what makes joining the Alliance a valuable opportunity:
• Building the Future of DLT: The skills developed through CHAISE programs form the foundation for advanced DLT expertise, enabling professionals to further their careers and contribute to a rapidly growing field. These skills are essential stepping stones to converging technologies such as AI, IoT, and quantum computing—technologies that will soon be a part of our everyday lives.
• Comprehensive Educational Resources: The CHAISE Alliance offers access to a range of educational resources. One of the resources available through the initiative is a free MOOC, accessible to everyone, which covers the technical, regulatory, and historical aspects of DLT. This MOOC serves as a foundation for those looking to understand distributed ledger technologies and offers a pathway for further skill development. While this resource is free to access, becoming an Associated Partner gives organizations an active role in shaping and advancing the network’s future educational offerings and standards.
• Collaboration on Key Initiatives: By joining the Alliance, organizations will have the opportunity to influence the next steps in DLT education and skills development. Members will collaborate on setting educational standards and defining DLT skills curricula, ensuring that Europe remains competitive in the global market.
Looking Ahead: The Transition to the EBSCN
As the CHAISE project concludes, the formation of the European Blockchain Skills Cooperation Network (EBSCN) will carry forward the momentum. The EBSCN will take the lessons learned and successes of CHAISE to the next level, offering partners the chance to be part of a sustainable, evolving network focused on preparing Europe’s workforce for the future of DLTs.
“This final workshop marks an important moment for the CHAISE Consortium,” said Bara Greplova, the representative of INATBA who is a Partner within the CHAISE Consortium. “The discussions we’ve had with partners have laid the foundation for a robust network that will address not only today’s DLT skills needs but also the convergence of technologies that will define the future.”
